Cocktail Pianist Performance Schedule
The cocktail pianist performs seven days
a week, mainly at night. A typical cruise line contract will
stipulate the maximum number of hours you are required to
work weekly, usually between 35 to 42 hours. The schedule
is organized on a daily basis by the cruise director and left
to his discretion. The schedule may include playing at lunch
time, tea time, for dinner, in the piano bar at night and
for some scheduled activities such as embarkation. There are
no salary provisions for overtime.
