The Contemporary Duo is musically self-contained, using a combination of sequencing and acoustic instruments. It features strong lead vocals and harmonies. The duo must be able to cover a wide range of styles, with emphasis on middle-of-the-road, Top-40's, Oldies, Country, and some Ballroom dancing repertoire.The duo performs in one of the lounges and may be asked to play for other events, such as embarkation and/or the Captain's cocktail. The duo is under the supervision of the ship's Musical Director or Cruise Director, whose responsibilities include scheduling.
