Lounge/Dance Band   Performance Schedule

 

The Lounge band performs seven days a week, mainly at night. A typical cruise line contract will stipulate the maximum number of hours you are required to work weekly, usually between 35 and 42 hours. The schedule is organized on a daily basis by the Cruise Director and left to his discretion. In general, you will play in one of the lounges, mostly at night, as well as for some scheduled activities, such as embarkations. There are no salary provisions for overtime.

A typical day's schedule might be:

* 2:00 to 3:00 pm: embarkation
* 6:00 to 7:00 pm: cocktails
* 9:30 to 10:15 pm: First dance set
* 11:00 to 11:45 pm: Final dance set
