Lounge/Dance Band
(Trio, Quartet, Quintet)

The Lounge band must be well versed in many styles and eras of music. It performs mainly in one of the lounges. Although the emphasis is on music for social dancing, the band should have a wide repertoire including Top-40, middle of the road easy listening, oldies, and country. The society repertoire should include American standards and Broadway hits. Singing is a must. The band performs nightly in one of the lounges and may be asked to play for other events. The band is under the supervision of the ship's Musical Director or Cruise Director, whose responsibilities include scheduling.
