ShowBand Musician   Candidate Profile

Exceptional sight-reading skills are necessary to perform the Broadway and Vegas style shows, and to play the guest entertainer's cabaret shows. You need complete mastery of your inustrument, the ability to play in tune, and the capacity to perform well under pressure. Profesionnal show experience or ship experience would be an asset. A large memorized society repertoire (ballroom dancing) is needed for dance sets, as is the ability to improvise and fake. Conversational English and a professional, cooperative attitude is required at all times.
