The Disk Jockey must be able to entertain the passengers
in the ship's discotheque and play the selection of music that
best suits the crowd. Since the age of passengers varies from
one cruise line to another, the Disk Jockey needs a large selection
of recorded music to entertain any crowd. You may also be asked
to be in charge of the pre-recorded music selections that are
played in the passenger areas.
All equipment is supplied on the ship and as are some musical
selections, however you may want to bring your own selection
of music and one or two fancy pieces of equipment you cannot
do without. Basic maintenance and repair of equipment is required.
The Disk Jockey is under the supervision of the ship's Stage
Manager/AV Manager or Cruise Director, who is in charge of scheduling.
(Please note that there is limited availability
in this style of entertainment at this time. However, feel free
to send us your promotional material and we will contact you
should there be an opportunity in the future)
