Stage Helper
The Stage Helper is a versatile individual who will help
with setting up the equipment for the production shows, presentations,
games, move equipment from one lounge to another, and help back
stage with the props for the shows, for the magician, etc.
On duty during all shows and rehearsals, and during all activities,
such as games and presentations, the Stage Helper's responsibilities
include :
- managing props
- setting up microphones
- doing occasional announcements on the microphone
- basic maintenance and repair of equipment
Depending on the size of the ship, the Technical team can vary
in size from one person to 7 people under the supervision of
the Stage Manager/AV Manager. Therefore the smaller the ship
the more versatile the Technician has to be. On a larger ship,
duties will be more specific, such as Lighting Technician, Cyberlight
Technician, Stage Helper, etc. The Stage Helper is under the
supervision of the ship's Stage Manager/AV Manager or Cruise
Director, who is responsible for scheduling.
