Who Should do a Live Audition ?
Live auditions are strictly for showband musicians who play the following instruments :

• Piano
• Saxophone doubling on Clarinet & Flute
• Trumpet
• Bass
• Drums
• Trombone
• Guitar

All Candidates must be at least 21 years old

The Showband Musician is part of the main musical group, the Showband, and consists of musicians with excellent sight-reading abilities and a knowledge of repertoire from the 20's to 90's. The Showband accompanies all floor shows and cabarets, performs dance sets, cocktail parties, masquerade parties and talent shows. In other words, we are looking for strong reader,with knowledge of Jazz. Also, basic conversational knowledge of the English language is required.

Why do we Hold Auditions ?
At ProShip Entertainment we personally audition every candidate to ensure that each musician we hire meets the performance and sight-reading caliber we require. Being part of a Showband is highly challenging; charts can be difficult and complicated. Only the finest musicians will be offered work. During this 30 minute audition, you will be asked to sight-read, improvise and play some standard repertoire by memory.

ProShip Entertainment's team of qualified adjudicators holds auditions across the United States, Canada, England, Europe, Australia and New Zealand .
